Create with Community Arts

At the creative heart of our Festival you will find the vibrant Community Arts area. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to stop by and join in! Take 15 mins betweens gigs to leave your mark on the Festival by contributing to our ever-growing mural. Or if you need a break from the action onstage, spend an hour or two building a lantern for our amazing Festival Parade.

Join the Parade

One of the highlights of the Festival, as the sun sets on Sunday evening our lantern parade will wind through the Festival crowds and culminate with amazing Fire Drawings and a musical celebration in FringeWorld. Be part of this wonderful experience by carrying your very own lantern or sculpture, created in Community Arts. Or if you’d rather watch the spectacle, follow the lights and laughter that our close knit community creates in this celebration of the Nash.

Discover our Workshops

Community Arts also offers structured workshops where people from all ability levels can learn new skills from experienced artisans. We have such a plethora of workshops available, choosing which ones to do will be the hard part! All materials are included in the price and spaces are limited with bookings taken on site at the Festival by the Community Arts Team, found opposite the Majestic. Please note that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
