The National Folk Festival is a not-for-profit, volunteer driven organisation and a registered charity that receives very little in the way of public funding. It may surprise you to know that the Festival is 97.5% self funded. A great achievement but one that also means the Festival does not have the means to develop special programs beyond its core operations.
In 2016 the National Folk Festival celebrated its 50th event, a testament to its ability to remain culturally relevant and enduring. In 2016 our beautiful Spiegel Zelt (pictured left) was sponsored by ComBank creating a magical space where patrons experienced some of the Festival’s most exciting and edgy programs.
