Gaining experience in the event industry through internships and work opportunities is a great way to gain valuable experience and develop your skills.

If you are thinking about a career in events the National Folk Festival offers a challenging and exciting environment with many opportunities for you to work with our experienced team of event organisers.

We have roles in Volunteer Management, Graphic and Visual Design, Communications and Marketing, Stalls Management and Safety as well as in general Event Management. We also welcome applications from students studying, or others seeking work in arts and cultural management, event management, technical production, and other related fields.

Successful applicants will have a tailored placement according to their field and level of interest / study. Placements are project or event-based and supervised by a key member of staff.

An internship or work experience with the National Folk Festival provides an invaluable opportunity to learn from experienced events professionals.
